Last week Wyndham Worldwide welcomed their newest resort to the group. The fashionable new 280-room destination resides on the world famous Chelsea neighborhood near the fashion district in New York City. The newest addition to the Wyndham group is 22-stories tall and offers many new features for guests to enjoy such as signature “Crumbs Cupcakes” for travelers at check-in, creative new dining at the RARE Bar and Grill and new radio-frequency keys for guest rooms that unlock their doors with a wave of their hand.

An announcement has been made from the Hyatt Regency Lexington regarding a large revamp of their lobby bar and the Glass Garden restaurant. This redesign will be the last step in the multimillion dollar-renovation that the company started in 2007. The work on the 33-year old resort should be completed by no later than August and will include a number of changes, one of which is removing the bar from being sunken behind a low-brick wall and making it more accessible by guests. As of last month, Hilton Worldwide has signed on with a management company for a new Hilton branded resort on the historic Nile River running through Egypt. The new 88-room, 76-suite Hilton Zamalek Residence Cairo will be set overlooking the Nile and is expected to open in July of 2010. The resort will be located in the heart of Cairo on beautiful Zamalek Island, just 20 kilometers from the Cairo International Airport.
