Campaign touts the attractions of Minnesota
In preparation for the upcoming summer season, Explore Minnesota Tourism has launched an ad campaign showcasing local attractions and stressing the importance of taking a break from work.
The spots encourage consumers to get away by portraying employees in their office pretending they are on a real vacation. “This has been a stressful year, and many people will be eager to get away from it all for a while,” says John Edman, director of Explore Minnesota Tourism. “We’re getting the word out that Minnesota’s a great place to get away to,” he adds. Minnesota is popular with travelers and timeshare owners alike all year round.
In the winter, it offers a wide range of snow sports from dogsled trips to downhill and cross-country skiing. It also has a network of more than 15,000 miles of snowmobile trails. During the summer months, fishing, wildlife watching and hiking are only a few of the many attractions awaiting travelers.
Meanwhile, the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul offer a range of cultural and entertainment options to visitors, including St. Paul’s Winter Festival as well as the Minnesota Antiques Dealers Association Show and Sale, and Loring Park Art Festival in summer.
