A fine arts show known as the Birmingham Art Fair at The Summit debuts during the weekend of May 9 – 10 in Birmingham, Alabama.

The event will bring together an eclectic mix of some 150 talented artists from around the country who will collectively display more than $15 million in artwork, all of which is original and handmade in America.

The artists were selected by an independent panel of judges from among hundreds of applicants based on quality and diversity of their work.

"We are very excited to be able to host a show of this caliber at The Summit," says assistant property manager Emily Peers.

"Also the timing of the event is wonderful because it provides a great, free activity that families can enjoy together during the Mother's Day weekend," she adds.

The artists will set up their booths at The Summit, transforming the area into a first-class outdoor art gallery, including paintings, sculptures, photos, glass, wood, jewelry, collage and ceramics.

Alabama is an attractive destination with traditional tourist and timeshare owners alike. The state's parks and woodlands offer some of the best biking trails in the South, including those which run along white sandy beaches.

Canoeing, rafting and boating are also among the top attractions awaiting visitors to Alabama. The state boasts more than one million acres of lakes, 1,600 miles of rivers and 53 miles of coastline along the Gulf Coast.
